Basics of Beekeeping

This short class is presented by Guild member Emily Bondor through TimeBank Santa Cruz.

This hour-and-a-half class will cover beekeeping for beginners. We will discuss basic honey bee biology, local equipment suppliers, what equipment you’ll need to begin, educational resources, bay area beekeepers associations and the biggest and most challenging topic: where and how to source the bees themselves.
